Leonardo UK Hosts Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance for Informative 'Drop-In-And-Learn' Session

Last Wednesday (24th April), DSAA had the honour of participating in one of Leonardo UK's engaging 'Drop-In-And-Learn' sessions, where approximately 50 Leonardo employees gathered to learn more about the charity's life-saving operations.

April’s training day was jointly held with the Poole RNLI team based at the Lifeboat College. The morning involved a series of lectures, an update on drowning and cold water immersion.

Following a serious road traffic collision, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance provided my daughter with critical care at the scene and then airlifted her to Bristol Royal Childrens Hospital. Without the help.of the Air Ambulance, the outcome for Esme may have been very different.
